Lighter than a GIF
Animated WEBP keeps millions of colours where a GIF has 256, and the file is usually a fraction of the size.
Ready for the web
12 frames per second, up to 640 px wide, looping forever: the sweet spot for previews, stickers and banners.

How it works
1
Upload your MP4
A short clip works best.
2
WEBP is preselected
Or choose GIF for very old software.
3
Download the animation
It loops on its own.
Common questions
How long can the clip be?
The first 60 seconds are converted. For a shorter loop, cut the part you want first with Trim audio / video.
Is the sound kept?
No: an animated WEBP has no audio track, just like a GIF.
Where does animated WEBP play?
In every current browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari) and in most chat apps. For very old software, choose GIF instead.
Is there a file size limit?
Free users can convert files up to 25 MB without an account. Pro raises that to 500 MB per file with 3,000 credits a month; Business goes to 5 GB.
