What's new.

• Multi-Converter (Business): drop up to 50 files in mixed formats — HEIC, TIFF and PNG; MOV and MKV; DOC, ODT and PDF — pick one output format, and every file comes back converted in one ZIP. Files already in that format are kept as they are, at no credit cost.
• Six categories: images, video (audio-only and ProRes / DNxHR included), audio, documents, spreadsheets and presentations. Every file is checked before it uploads, so a misfit is flagged up front instead of failing halfway.
• Two options: seal the result into one AES-256 encrypted ZIP or 7z — password typed twice, with a confirmation that it cannot be recovered, and the unencrypted copies deleted as soon as the archive exists — and remove the metadata from every file. Also available through the API.

• Every tool your plan doesn’t include now has one free try, the Business tools too: the Multi-Converter (up to 5 files), Transcription and pro video formats. A try needs a free account with a confirmed email, and each tool is tried once.
• Remove metadata now handles M4A voice memos, AAC, MKV, transport streams, WMA and WMV, and RTF documents.
• The Multi-Converter’s encrypted output counts credits like Password-protect files: 10 credits for an archive up to 500 MB.
• UI IMPROVEMENT

• Search speaks your language: “caviarder”, “zusammenführen” or “PDFからWord” find the right tool, and so do everyday names like “word to pdf” or “mp4 to”.
• The converter is now fully translated in French, German and Japanese — progress and error messages, result notes, the account panel and the contact form.

• WEBM → MP3 extracts the audio track from a WEBM video or browser/OBS recording and hands it back as an MP3 — or WAV, AAC or OGG if you prefer. No account, up to 25 MB free, files deleted within the hour.
• WEBM → WAV does the same in lossless WAV — the uncompressed format audio editors expect, ready to edit.
• UI IMPROVEMENT

• Password protect files now locks a whole folder and keeps its structure — subfolders and all — inside the encrypted archive, ZIP or 7z, instead of flattening everything into one pile. A ZIP download is named after your folder and tagged (Encrypted); a 7z gets a neutral name, so the folder’s name stays hidden along with everything inside. System files are skipped, and a file of a type we can’t take is left out and listed instead of failing the whole folder.

• Leak Check — drop in a PDF or Word file and see what it reveals beyond the visible page: text hidden under black boxes that can still be copied, earlier versions saved inside the file, tracked changes and deleted text, comments, author and company names, template paths that name a user, and photos carrying a GPS location. Everything that can be fixed without changing what the reader sees is removed in a clean copy you download; anything left, like personal data in the visible text, is listed so you can decide. • Open a protected folder — Windows’ built-in unzip cannot read encrypted archives: it lists the files, then fails without ever asking for the password. Drop the archive in, type the password and get your files back. It all happens in your browser, so the archive and the password never leave your computer. Works with AES-encrypted ZIPs and 7z, including 7z archives that hide their file names. Free, no account needed.

• Remove printer tracking dots — almost every colour laser printer stamps a faint yellow dot grid onto every page it prints, encoding the printer’s serial number and the date and time. Scan the printed page at 300 dpi or higher and this paints that grid out. We report only whether a pattern was found — we never decode it, so the serial number is never read, shown or stored anywhere. Dots outside the known colour range can be missed, and a heavy JPEG or a low-resolution scan can hide them; an optional greyscale mode also strips the colour channel the code lives in. A Pro tool.

• Redact an image — black out names, emails, phone numbers, card numbers and addresses printed inside a screenshot, photo or scan. Read with OCR on our own EU servers, then painted over permanently: the pixels are destroyed, not hidden behind a box that can be dragged away. Comes back as PNG. A Pro tool.
• Redact a text file — the same detectors for TXT, CSV, JSON, SRT and VTT. Matches are deleted and replaced with [REDACTED], so the words are gone from the file rather than styled to look gone. A Pro tool.
• Nine category tabs became six, and a Privacy tools tab now gathers redaction, face pixelation, metadata removal and password protection in one place. Image, video and audio merged; PDF and documents merged. No tool was removed.

• Every file you upload is now encrypted at rest. It stays encrypted while it is stored on our servers and is decrypted only for the moment it is being converted. Files are still deleted within an hour, as they always were.

• Subscribe from the pricing page in a few clicks. Pro — €9.99 a month, or €7.99 billed yearly — unlocks the Pro tools, batches of 50 files and 500 MB uploads. Business — €49.99 a month, or €39.99 billed yearly — adds batches of 150, 5 GB uploads, private transcription, pro video export and signed download links for the API. Prices are final: no tax is added at checkout. Cancel any time from your account.

• Password protect files — drop in a folder's worth of files of any kind and get back one archive nobody can open without the password. Strong, modern encryption, not the legacy scheme most tools still write (that one is broken by a known attack). Encrypted on our own EU servers; the password is used once and never stored. A Pro tool — every account gets one free try.

• Metadata removal is lossless. The metadata is stripped at the container level and the picture data is copied byte for byte, so what comes back is pixel-identical and an animated GIF keeps every frame. BMP and HEIC are supported too.
• PDF → JPG/PNG/WEBP converts every page. A multi-page PDF comes back as a ZIP with one image per page, around a hundred times faster, and password-restricted (but openable) PDFs are supported.

• Search in files (Search in files) — find a word or phrase across up to 50 files at once: text, CSV, PDF, Word, spreadsheets, and even photos or scans via OCR. Every hit is shown with the page, line or cell it came from. If a file can't be read, we say so explicitly instead of reporting "no matches". Your search term is never logged. • PDF → Markdown — turn a PDF into clean, structure-preserving Markdown for AI/RAG pipelines: headings, real tables, lists and reading order, with running headers and footers stripped so they don't pollute every chunk. Fully deterministic — no AI model in the path, so the same PDF always gives the same result, and your document is never sent to a third-party AI. A Pro tool, available via POST /api/pdf-to-markdown.
