Common questions

Is my photo uploaded to a third party?

No. The background is removed on our own EU servers (Hetzner, Germany). Unlike most background removers, your image is never sent to an external API, never used for training, and is deleted within 1 hour.

Is this a Pro tool?

Yes — background removal is part of the Pro tool set (Pro, Business and Enterprise). The everyday format converters stay free.

What format is the result?

Always a PNG, because transparency needs an alpha channel that JPG can't store. Drop it straight onto any background, slide or product page.

How good are the edges?

Great for clear subjects (people, products, pets) against a distinct background. Very fine detail like wispy hair or transparent glass can be imperfect — always check the result before using it.
