Common questions

Why convert PDF to PNG instead of JPG?

PNG is lossless — better for documents with text, line art, charts, or anything where you don't want JPG-style compression artefacts around sharp edges. Use JPG when the PDF is mostly photographs and file size matters more.

Can I extract just one page?

Today the converter exports every page. For single-page extraction, the simplest workflow is: convert the whole PDF, then pick the PNG you need from the resulting ZIP. We're adding per-page selection in a future update.

What's the resolution / DPI?

Pages are rendered at 150 DPI by default — high enough for everything from web display to consumer printing. If you need a higher resolution (300 DPI for offset printing, for example), get in touch via support@formatly.pro and we'll enable a higher-DPI option on your account.

Is there a file size limit?

Free users can convert PDFs up to 25 MB without an account, or up to 10 conversions per day with a free account. Pro users get 500 MB per file. Business users get up to 5 GB — suitable for large multi-page documents.
